Showing and Sharing God's Love

The early bird catches, the worm and is blessed. We began our day at the hospital for patient food distribution at 6:30am. Here we were able to help serve 150 meals to patients. The nuns do this 6 days a week early in the morning. You see, the hospital doesn't provide meals to the patients. Patients, or a family member wait in line in order to receive: a bowl of soup, a few dollars, a small can of milk, and a small bag of sugar. It is hard to see some turned away when the supply is gone. From there we moved on to the cemetery of aborted fetuses. Heartbreaking. There are about 16,000 fetuses in this cemetery. Each casket has a number outside denoting the total. This particular pic, has 95. Generations never seeing the day of light.

We also had a small vbs for the kiddos translated. What fun to watch them interact on the lessons.

We also had the joy of preparing 150 + bags containing: 2 oils, sugar, a box of crackers and 2 small laundry detergents. Upon completion we had the opportunity to pray before giving these out to the community around the orphanage. Many came in the heat of the day from far away to receive these goods in conjunction with a bag of rice.  The crowd of faces, an emotional sight. Many elderly and many with disabilities. It was a day packed with emotion. A reminder about unconditional love, kindness, caring, humility, blessings and most of all priorities. Overall, an emotionally and physically draining day, but one that will never be forgotten.
